The Dornerhof is located in the Maia Alta district of Merano. So close to the city centre that you can reach the old town in a short time. So far from the city centre that you can enjoy nature and the view of the surrounding mountains.

Travelling with ...
Coming from the Brennero motorway or the road over the Resia Pass, take the motorway (MeBo) and head towards Merano. Leave the motorway at the Sinigo exit and follow the signs for Val Passiria/Castel Trauttmansdorff for the next 3 km. At the third roundabout, take the third exit in the direction of Maia Alta and follow the Via Castel Gatto to its end. Turn left into Via Dante and you will find the Dornerhof on the left-hand side of the road opposite the bus stop.
There is a car park in the courtyard for your car.
We offer a charging station for electric cars. The electricity for this comes from our environmentally friendly photovoltaic system.
If you are travelling by train, change in Bolzano to the regional train to Merano. From Merano train station, the city bus line 4 will take you almost to the front door of the Dornerhof (bus stop Via S. Valentino).
Merano is served by various long-distance coaches such as Flixbus, Meraner Land Express and Südtirol Express. From the ‘Terme’ stop in Via Piave, the city bus line 4 also takes you to the Dornerhof.
We will be happy to pick you up from the railway station in Merano on the day of your arrival. Please let us know in good time if you would like to make use of this service.
There is a small regional airport in Bolzano, which is operated by the airline Skyalps. It offers numerous direct flights from various European cities. From the airport you can reach us by train or by private airport shuttle, which we will be happy to organise for you.

Your car can go on holiday with us too!
You will receive the Südtirol Guest Pass from us for the entire duration of your stay. This allows you to use all public transport throughout South Tyrol and selected cable cars (Verano, Meltina, Renon, Colle, Mendola funicular) free of charge.
And the best thing about it? The nearest bus stop is right outside the front door!
